Goa Codes 2025

Goa Codes 2025 is being held to celebrate and showcase the tech-savvy minds of Goan school students and witness the magic they create using Block Based Coding and Robotics Hardware Kit using GOVIN IDE.

The objective ->  is to create awareness of the U.N Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) through concepts learnt during the revised ICT elective curriculum for AY 2024-25. 

  • The competition will be held in the following Competition Categories

(a) Class VI Elective Category 

Projects focused on Design Thinking and Coding (including Block-based projects).

ELIGIBILITY Students enrolled for Class VI  Elective Curriculum for A.Y. 2024-25

(b) Class VII Elective Category

Projects centered around Robotics Hardware Kit using GOVIN IDE.

ELIGIBILITY Students enrolled for Class VII Elective Curriculum for A.Y. 2024-25

 
Goa Codes 2025 will be held in 03 phases

PHASE 01 – LEAD SCHOOL LEVEL 

 

  • Scheduled on : Tentatively between  03rd March 2025 to 29th March 2025

  • Eligibility : Students enrolled for Class VI, VII Elective Curriculum for A.Y. 2024-25 and as per the above Competition Categories

  • The Theme for the Competition :  

        Standing at the brink of climate change [1]      

                               OR

        Shed light on the magnitude of plastic pollution in the rivers[1] .

Rules for the competition:

  • Students are requested to attend the Lead School Level Competition at the assigned Location and during the assigned Batch-Time. 

  • Students are required to wear the school uniform and carry Identity Proof for the Competition.

  • Participants should reach the location assigned to him / her for the competition at least 15 min in advance.

  • Students have to participate individually and NOT as a team at Lead School Level competition. 

  • For the  Lead School Level competition, students would be required to use tools / technology learnt during Elective Curriculum A.Y.2024-25 as per the Competition Categories.

  • A student can submit only one project.

  • It is crucial for students to maintain discipline within the premises of the school assigned for the competition.

PHASE 02 – TALUKA LEVEL

  • Scheduled on : Tentatively on or before

7th April 2025 & 8th April 2025 for Class VI Elective Category 

10th April 2025 & 11th April 2025 for Class VII Elective Category  

  • Eligibility :06 top entries at Lead School Level i.e

– 03 entries from Class VI Elective Category 

03 entries from Class VII Elective Category 

  • The Theme for the Competition : 

Towards building  resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation [1] .

 

 Rules for the competition:

  • Students are requested to attend the Taluka Level Competition at the assigned Location and during the assigned Batch-Time. 

  • Students are required to wear the school uniform and carry Identity Proof for the Competition.

  • Participants should reach the location assigned to him / her for the competition at least 15 min in advance.

  • Students have to participate individually and NOT as a team at Taluka Level competition. 

  • For the  Taluka Level competition, students would be required to use tools / technology learnt during Elective Curriculum A.Y.2024-25 as per the Competition Categories.

  • A student can submit only one project.

  • It is crucial for students to maintain discipline within the premises of the school assigned for the competition.

PHASE 03 – STATE  LEVEL 

  • Scheduled on : Tentatively on or before

22nd April 2025  for Class VI Elective Category 

24 th April 2025 for Class VII Elective Category 

 

  • Eligibility :04 top entries at Taluka  Level i.e 

02 entries from Class VI Elective Category 

02 entries from Class VII Elective Category 

  • The Theme for the Competition :  

Sustainable Agritech envisioned for Farmers ; paving the path towards Zero Hunger .

 

Rules for the competition:

  • The Top Two Taluka Level winners of a Taluka will have to participate as a team at State Level competition.

  • Students are required to wear the school uniform and carry Identity Proof for the Competition.

  • Participants should reach the location at least 15 min in advance.

  • The student has to do the project using block-based interface only.

  • For the  State Level competition, students would be required to use tools / technology learnt during Elective Curriculum A.Y.2024-25 as per the Competition Categories.

  • A Team representing a Taluka can submit only one project.

 

  • Scheduled on : Tentatively on or before

22nd April 2025  for Class VI Elective Category 

24 th April 2025 for Class VII Elective Category 

 

  • Eligibility :04 top entries at Taluka  Level i.e 

02 entries from Class VI Elective Category 

02 entries from Class VII Elective Category 

  • The Theme for the Competition :

Rules for the competition:

  1. The competition is meant only for the students of Standards VI, VII and VIII who have enrolled themselves for Class VI, VII Elective Curriculum for the Academic Year 2024-25.

  2. Students have to participate individually and NOT as a team at Lead School Level and Taluka Level.

Students will participate as a team at the State Level.

The 03 Lead School level winners, from Phase I, from each competition category will participate at Taluka level.

The top 02 Taluka level winners from Phase II, from each competition category will participate as a team at the State Level at Phase III.

At the end of State Level there will be contestants(Taluka Level Winners)  battling as a team for 01st,2nd and 3rd place in each of the competition categories .

  1. A student/team wherever applicable can submit only one project.

  2. For each of the above 03 phases of the coding competition, students would be required to use tools / technology learnt during class VI, VII Elective Curriculum Academic Year 2024-25.

Prizes and Certificates

  • Attractive merchandise such as Robotic Hardware kits, SSD, Pen drive, special curated jackets, bags, folders etc to be won at various phases.

 

  • A special award “Outgoing – Goa Codes 2025 Mentor” comprising (certificate, merchandise and momento ) for the teacher mentor of the winning State Level Projects.

 

  • The teacher mentor can be the Lead School Co-ordinator/Computer Teacher /Teach for Goa –Fellow who will be guiding the students on their projects.
