The Project Management Unit (PMU) under the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) Scheme, Government of Goa, has been successfully organising its annual flagship student engagement competition, Goa Codes, since 2023. As part of this initiative, the PMU proposes to organise “ATAL NIRNAY” – Goa Codes 2026 , a state-level competition for students of Classes VI, VII, VIII, and IX during the Academic Year 2025–2026 in collaboration with the Goa Waste Management Corporation(GWMC)
“ATAL NIRNAY” serves as the umbrella theme for Goa Codes 2026, focusing on responsible decision-making (Nirnay), sustainability, community participation and environmental stewardship. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa has been taking active steps to reduce waste and protect the environment. In line with this vision, ATAL Nirnay aims to use technology and student innovation as a way to find practical solutions and help in eradicating these problems. This initiative also supports the national goal of sustainable development and responsible citizenship, helping young students become part of the mission to build a cleaner, greener, and Garbage-Mukt Goa.
